At the Palestinian Artists Consortium, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information that are collected and recorded by Palestinian Artists Consortium and how we use it.

Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information only when you:

• Purchase products from our site. Information collected includes:
  • Name, address, phone number, email address, and order details to fulfill your purchase.
  • Note: Payments are processed securely by Stripe. You can pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link, and your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them.
• Subscribe to our newsletter. Information collected includes:
  • Email address and name, to provide you with news and updates.
• Contact us via our “Get in Touch Request” form. Information collected includes:
  • Name, email address, phone number (optional), and message content to respond to your inquiries.
• Making comments on the site:
  • When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
  • An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Use of Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Process and manage your orders.
• Send newsletters and communications you have consented to.
• Respond to your queries or requests.
• Improve our website and services.

Sharing Your Information

We share your information with third parties only when necessary to fulfill our services:

• Shipping: Your address is shared with our shipping partner, Aramex, for order delivery.
• Payment Processing: Transactions are processed securely by Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link). We do not access or store your payment details. Stripe’s own privacy policy explains how it handles payment data.
• Comments: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
• Newsletter: If you subscribe, your email address and first name (if you give it) are kept by EmailOctopus, the service we use to send our newsletter. You confirm your subscription by email, and every newsletter has a link to unsubscribe.
• Analytics: Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google receives information about your visit through Google Analytics, as explained under Cookies and Tracking.

Data Security

We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. Data is encrypted and stored on secure servers, and we employ industry-standard measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Rights Over Your Data

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request the correction or deletion of your information.
• Withdraw consent for data processing (where applicable).
• If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Cookies and Tracking

We keep cookies to a minimum and ask before using any that the shop does not need. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Essential cookies (always on). These make the site work and keep it safe, so they do not need your consent:

• Cart, checkout and account (WooCommerce and WordPress): remember what is in your cart and keep you signed in if you have an account.
• Payments (Stripe): used on the checkout page to take payments securely and prevent fraud.
• Security: our hosting provider, our firewall and Cloudflare may process your IP address to protect the site and keep it fast. The login page uses Google reCAPTCHA to stop automated sign-in attempts.
• Sign in with Google (optional, on the account page): if you choose to sign in with your Google account, Google sets the cookies it needs for that.
• Your cookie choice: a cookie named pac_consent remembers your answer for six months.
• Comments: if you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies for one year, so you do not have to type them again.

Analytics cookies (only if you agree). If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are read most. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to two years, and Google processes this information for us. With the same permission, WooCommerce notes how you reached us (for example from a search or from Instagram) when you place an order, using cookies whose names start with sbjs_. If you choose “Only essential”, Google Analytics is not loaded and none of these cookies are set. If you change your mind later, we remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

Stored in your browser. We also remember, in your browser’s own storage, whether you closed or answered our newsletter invitation, so that we do not show it again. This stays on your device.

Embedded videos. Some journal posts include YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may store information on your device once you play a video.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we never sell your data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
